Qualified applicants will be invited to interview according to program priorities until interview slots are filled. Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate the following:

  • Training at an accredited US medical school (LCME or AOA accredited) and to US citizens/green card holders (must have at least 12 months of US clinical experience, excludes observerships and externships)

  • Graduation within the past two years or transitional residency experience

  • High academic achievement (no Step 3 failures, maximum one Step 1 or 2 failure)

  • Commitment to family medicine

  • Leadership and/or community service

  • Likelihood of choosing to live in Michigan

  • Reimbursement of state licensing fees

  • CME/Conference/Book Allowance

    • PGY-1: $1,000​

    • PGY-3: $3,250
